Krystal Brings Hasbro Toys and 99-Cent Kids Meals to Back-to-School Season

September 03, 2026 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA — Krystal is introducing new Kids Meals featuring collectible toys from Hasbro and a limited-time 99-cent Kids Meal offer on Sundays in participating markets. The offerings are described as an affordable option for families within quick-service restaurants.

The new Kids Meals feature collectible toys from two of Hasbro’s popular franchises, My Little Pony and Tonka. The toys give kids something fun to collect while tapping into nostalgia for many parents.

“Families are making real trade-offs right now, and they’re paying attention to where their money goes,” said Kaitlin Kees, Senior Director of Marketing at Krystal. “A Kids Meal with a toy children recognize, at a price parents can feel good about, is exactly the kind of value families are looking for this time of year.”

Each Kids Meal includes a choice of entrée — a Krystal Slider, Cheese Krystal, Classic Pup, Corn Pup or four-piece all-white-meat Chicken Nuggets — along with small fries or tots, a drink (milk, lemonade or bottled water), an activity sheet, crayons, a Hasbro-branded cup and a collectible toy.

For guests new to the brand, the signature Krystal slider features a thin, square 100% USDA beef patty steamed on a bed of diced onions and served with yellow mustard, dill pickle and a soft steamed bun. It’s been prepared the same way since 1932.

Available now through Nov. 1, the promotion spans the back-to-school season and continues through the fall. Guests can also join Club Krystal through the Krystal app to order ahead, access delivery, earn rewards and receive additional app-exclusive offers throughout the promotion.
