Ziebart Rolls Out New Check-In App, Modernizing the Service Experience

October 20, 2026 // Franchising.com // TROY, Mich. – Ziebart has launched a new digital check-in app that makes arrivals faster and easier for customers while giving franchise owners more consistent intake and more time with the people they serve.

A Faster, Easier Arrival

With the app, customers can confirm their vehicle appointment details and service needs with less repetition at the counter. The app pulls up scheduled appointments and captures vehicle details from a VIN, license plate and Carfax scan, so store teams start with accurate information rather than asking customers to repeat it.

"It's easier to have a meaningful conversation with customers now,” said Christopher Boulos, Manager, Ziebart of Utica. “When they can see what we're recommending and why, we’re able to build a trusting long-term relationship ."

Because the team has the right details from the start, they can focus on each customer's priorities and make relevant recommendations based on the vehicle's service history. Team members also complete a digital walkaround, documenting the vehicle's condition with photos and video that are stored securely in the cloud, so customers leave the counter with a clearer understanding of the work scheduled, the expected timing and any recommended next steps.

"Our goal was to make this genuinely user-friendly and to keep our teams in front of the customer, where they do their best work," said Larry Stewart, Vice President of Information Technology at Ziebart. " This app streamlines everything happening behind the scenes so the technology fades into the background and the service experience comes forward."

More Consistent Intake, More Time With Customers

For franchise owners, more consistent intake reduces manual work and errors while giving owners better visibility into the day's appointments and bay capacity. Ziebart estimates that the new check-in app can save roughly 15 minutes per customer by removing manual data entry and printing from the check-in process.

Because relevant service recommendations and timely maintenance follow-up are built into the experience, the app also helps owners turn each visit into an opportunity to build repeat business and grow revenue.

"When we listen to our franchise owners and build technology alongside them, we get incredible outcomes that produce a greater customer experience and a greater opportunity for increased revenue," said Jason Theisen, Senior Vice President of U.S. Franchise Operations at Ziebart. "”The Check-In App reflects  Ziebart’s commitment to investment in technology that continues to evolve our legacy brand, increase unit level economics and support the the customers and communities we serve."
