About Area 2 Farms

Area 2 Farms was founded in 2023 by Tyler Baras and Oren J. Falkowitz. with the goal of re-establishing the role of farmers in local communities and fundamentally changing the industrial food supply chain. Our farm in Arlington, VA, served as a crucial R&D center, where we perfected our proprietary robotics, soil infrastructure, organic certification operating system, and a robust community engagement model. Having consistently sold out our production and successfully delivered over 25,000 harvest baskets, Area 2 Farms began its expansion with a second farm in Fairfax, VA, and launched the "Be a Farmer" campaign in 2026.
