Why did you choose to franchise with a service brand?

We chose to franchise with a service brand because we wanted to build a business that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives while also creating a sustainable, growth-oriented company. Helping families navigate one of the most difficult decisions they'll ever face - finding the right care for a loved one - is incredibly rewarding.

A service-based franchise allowed us to combine our passion for serving others with the support, proven systems, and brand recognition of an established organization. Rather than starting from scratch, we focused on building relationships within our community and delivering exceptional service.

How did you choose the sector and brand you did?

Our decision to enter the senior care industry was rooted in a deeply personal family experience. When Anthony helped his father find an appropriate senior living community for his grandmother, we saw firsthand how emotional and overwhelming the journey can be for families. This experience highlighted the immense value of having a compassionate, knowledgeable guide to assist during such a challenging time.

We felt strongly aligned with the mission to offer professional service and trustworthy guidance. With a professional background in education and extensive experience in sales and operational leadership, this service-oriented sector proved to be a natural and deeply meaningful fit for us.

What different skill sets are required for franchising with a service brand?

Success with a service brand requires a combination of people skills and business skills. Building relationships, communicating effectively, and leading a strong team are just as important as managing operations and tracking performance. In our business, empathy and trust are essential because we help families make important life decisions. When you combine a heart for serving others with solid business systems and a commitment to continuous improvement, you create a strong foundation for long-term success.

What are the advantages of choosing a service brand?

It offers the ability to build a meaningful career that makes a real-world difference in families' lives. Being part of a supportive network like CarePatrol allows us to offer safe, expert solutions while being a reliable community resource for healthcare professionals.

What are some keys to being able to operate multiple franchises at the same time?

The key to operating multiple franchises is building strong systems and an exceptional team. We focus on hiring the right people, providing consistent training, and empowering our team to make decisions that align with our mission. Clear processes, regular communication, and tracking key performance metrics help ensure every family receives the same high level of service, regardless of location. By staying focused on our mission and trusting our team, we've grown while maintaining the personalized care that sets us apart. Ultimately, consistency and strategic delegation serve as the cornerstones for multi-unit success.

What are some of the top ways in which you have been able to market and promote your business?

We prioritize building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, such as physicians and case managers, through consistent outreach. Additionally, we leverage brand-wide testimonials, local SEO, and professional marketing materials to remain a visible and trusted resource. We focus on our “why” and leverage the brand’s story, certifications, and resources to build trust. We prioritize ethical advocacy over quick outcomes and commit to the established success factors and daily routines that ensure operational consistency.

What would you recommend to anyone considering a service brand?

To be successful in a service-based business, you must have a genuine heart for serving others. That commitment shouldn't just extend to your immediate clients, families, and referral partners; it needs to encompass the community at large. If you are truly energized by the idea of providing a meaningful, impactful service, this is an incredibly rewarding industry to invest in.
