Father-Son Operators Open Another Firehouse Subs in Alabama

Multi-unit operator Jim Chandler acquired his first three Firehouse Subs locations in 2009 in Mobile, Alabama. He’s just opened restaurant number four in Saraland, Alabama, along with his new partner, son Jay. Chandler is a seasoned operator who has relied on more than four decades of restaurant industry experience to successfully run his Firehouse Subs locations.

“Over the last 12 years, we’ve been asked countless times about when we’d open a Firehouse Subs restaurant in Saraland and that day has finally come,” said Jim Chandler. “We’re thrilled to share our hot, hearty subs and heartfelt service with the vibrant community of Saraland.”

Jay Chandler began as a shift manager at his dad’s restaurant in 2009, working his way up to general manager and then area supervisor. Jay Chandler joined his dad as business partner and co-franchisee in May.

The Chandler’s new Firehouse Subs is the first location in Saraland.
