Budget Blinds Plans Franchise Expansion In Major National Markets

ORANGE, CALIFORNIA (Friday, October 08, 2004) - Budget Blinds, the largest and fastest growing window covering franchise in the United States, has announced it is targeting 10 major national markets, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Houston, New York, Orlando, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., for expansion. The company's plans call for more than 350 franchises to open in these regions by the end of 2006. Budget Blinds currently has more than 750 franchises operating throughout the United States .

"Budget Blinds has experienced tremendous growth throughout the past few years and we are presenting an incredible franchise opportunity to entrepreneurs," said Steve Kwon, senior director of franchise licensing for Budget Blinds. "We aim to make our quality and convenient services available to more homeowners throughout the country."

Budget Blinds employs a franchise development and support system that differs from its competitors and sets franchise owners up for success. Franchise territories consist of approximately 32,000 households, at least half the size of a typical territory in the industry, enabling franchise owners to provide better service and attention to each customer. This strategy, along with unsurpassed local advertising and marketing support, has helped Budget Blinds exceed its growth projections for 2004 and is preparing them for another outstanding year in 2005.

"Most companies grant territories to franchise owners that are too large to properly manage and finance, creating a major disadvantage when trying to start up a business," Kwon said. "We help our franchise owners set and achieve realistic business goals within an established system that offers great promise and profit potential."

Furthermore, Budget Blinds franchise owners have no inventory to carry, can work from home, and can set their own hours. With an initial franchise investment that ranges from $54,680 to $81,070, depending on the number of territories purchased, Budget Blinds franchise owners are provided with two weeks of comprehensive training, ongoing support from an assigned company representative, convention and regional meeting participation, a personalized web site, van signage and vendor and manufacturer alliances, in addition to a slew of marketing and advertising support materials.

"Our business model is designed to build market share and top of mind awareness on local and national levels," said Chad Hallock, CEO and one of the founders of Budget Blinds. "The sky is virtually the limit for enthusiastic men and women seeking a lucrative franchise opportunity with our company."
