National Property Inspections training approved in West Virginia, Kentucky

Omaha, Neb. (September 21, 2006) – National Property Inspections, Inc.’s two-week training program for new franchisees was recently approved for licensing purposes in Kentucky and West Virginia. Both states instituted licensing for home inspectors in July.

“The integrity of the property inspection business rests on consumers receiving the best information available about the condition and safety of their property,” NPI Training Coordinator Randy Yates said. “NPI’s franchise owners are trained with the highest industry standards in mind, and we support legislation aimed at protecting consumers.”

For years the virtually unregulated inspection industry left consumers with little standard to base their decision-making on. Now that nearly 8 in 10 home buyers request a property inspection prior to closing according to one American Society of Home Inspectors study, many states are instituting licensing laws. NPI works diligently to respond to these laws and requirements as they are instituted. In both Kentucky and West Virginia, NPI’s current franchise owners obtained licensing through grandfather clauses or testing.

“Across the United States and Canada, NPI professionals have performed over 1 million property inspections,” Yates said. “We have the experience and expertise people are looking for. We are very pleased to have received approval in two more states.”

NPI is a national franchisor based in Omaha, Neb., offering exclusive territories, top-of-the-line technology and a training course aimed at long-term success. Founded in 1987, NPI has nearly 300 franchise owners assessing both commercial and residential properties in the United States and Canada.
