Comfort Keepers® Develops New Program to Support Franchisees

DAYTON, OH (September 29, 2006) - Consistency and commitment to operational excellence are key in any global franchise business. That is why CK Franchising, Inc. (CKFI) dba Comfort Keepers, has redefined the responsibilities and priorities of their eight regional franchise business consultants.

Comfort Keepers is a growing international franchise company that provides in-home care services for aging adults, new mothers and others needing assistance with daily activities enabling them to stay in their own homes. With more than 550 independently owned and operated offices located around the world, Comfort Keepers recognizes the importance of operational uniformity and ongoing franchise support throughout the organization.

The creation of Comfort Keepers' franchise business consultants (FBC) program ensures that all franchisees receive the best training and ongoing assistance in operating their businesses. By dividing the United States into eight regions, the FBC's each support between 45 to 70 office locations guiding owners through the process of setting up their franchises in addition to providing ongoing operational and educational support. The regions include the northeast, southeast, Florida, mideast, midwest, central, west and northwest.

"At Comfort Keepers, we understand how critical one-on-one contact with owners is to help support their success," said Lisa Ripley, Vice President of Operations for CKFI. "In developing the franchise business consultants program, we hired people with experience in business management, training, and sales and networking. We also have several former entrepreneurs and previous franchise owners who bring a very unique background and experience to the role. They have the knowledge needed to serve as a direct source to answer any problems, questions or concerns our owners may have regarding their business."

Comfort Keepers provides in-home services on an hourly, daily or weekly basis with tailored packages customized to an individual's needs. Packages include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, incidental transportation, laundry, recreational activities and more. In most cases, Comfort Keepers will provide personal care services that may include bathing, mobility, transferring, incontinence care and other services as needed.

With an exponential increase in aging adults and a high demand for in-home care, Comfort Keepers is developing a world class training program for owners. The company's FBC's are being trained as subject matter experts in topics such as clinical needs, business issues and financial situations. The FBCs are a very integral part of providing excellent training in sales and networking as well as business management. The single focus is supporting franchisees in their growth and profitability."The training program allows us to provide hands-on, specific needs-based training to the owners in our regions," said Cheryl Riggs, Comfort Keepers FBC for Florida. "The feedback from the owners has been very positive. They have welcomed the program and enjoy the interaction between FBC's and their staff."
