Comfort Keepers Received 2006 STAR Award in Franchise Recruitment
Leading senior care franchise web site recognized
DAYTON, Ohio (April 02, 2007) â€" Comfort Keepers, an international
franchise that offers companionship and other non-medical services for
aging adults, recently received a 2006 STAR Award as an online winner.

Franchise Update anonymously “shops” franchise companies to calculate
their recruitment and lead generation through telephone and internet
efforts. Franchises qualify for this “secret shopper” assessment by
registering for the Franchise Development & Leadership Conference.
This year, 113 companies were evaluated by phone. A total of 101 of
those companies received online evaluations as well.

The shoppers awarded Comfort Keepers a second place rating in the
online category for the depth and usability of the company’s web site
â€" www.comfortkeepers.com.

“The recent overhaul of our site allowed us to develop a tool that has
the greatest amount of flexibility and functionality to clients,
caregivers, owners and potential franchisees,” said Jim Booth,
President and CEO of CK Franchising, Inc. “Our goal is to provide the
most valuable information to those who need it.”

Researchers of the annual “mystery shopping” study calculate a variety
of data including calls answered in person instead of automated voice
recordings and length of time it takes to receive a call back along
with mailed information. Companies with a website were studied not
only for content, but accessibility, ease of navigation and use of
technology.

Many times, a prospective franchisee will do online research prior to
making the phone call to further inquire about the business. Comfort
Keepers ranked second in the internet category among all other
franchises studied due to functionality, helpful online resources and
confidential questionnaires.

“Good franchisee recruiting practices lead to expansion and growth,”
stated Jeff Bevis, executive vice president of franchise development
for CK Franchising, Inc. “Comfort Keepers views the web as a critical
marketing channel for all of our audiences. We are consistently
looking for usability improvements, technology upgrades and additional
features that benefit our owner community.”

Comfort Keepers provides in-home services on an hourly, daily or
weekly basis with tailored packages customized to an individual’s
needs. Packages include companionship, meal preparation, light
housekeeping, grocery shopping, incidental transportation, laundry,
recreational activities and more.
