Nation's No. 1 Salad Concept Centralizes Online Ordering for Franchise System

Saladworks Partners with Merrill Corporation to Strengthen Infrastructure, Build Consistency

Conshohocken, PA – In a strategic move to centralize ordering for the franchise system, Saladworks, the nation's first and fastest growing fresh-tossed 84-unit salad franchise, has announced a partnership with the Merrill Corporation to launch an online e-store on the MySaladworks site – the intranet Web site for the franchise system. Saladworks will utilize Merrill Corporation to supply the franchise system with consistent materials, from menu boards and front of house marketing materials to staff shirts and event balloons.

"We have been steadily moving toward the direction of centralizing our ordering system to ensure complete consistency throughout the system," said John Scardapane, Chairman and CEO of Saladworks. "We value the time of our franchisees and understand the importance of making the ordering process as simple and time effective as possible. Franchisees now have the ability to place orders with the simple touch of a button. This time saving enhancement to the Saladworks system will allow more time for franchisees to provide unmatchable customer satisfaction to their customers."

Merrill Corporation has also created three other online ordering features for Saladworks franchisees – e-tools; Print and Mail; and Ad Generator. Saladworks' e-tools feature was built to allow franchisees to blast emails to its entire customer database with simplicity through the online e-store site while print and Mail provides franchisees with the ability to order designed direct mail pieces and blast it to their entire database, or selective households. Ad Generator gives Saladworks the ability to centralize all advertising by providing franchisees the ability to directly send a designed advertisement to their local publications.

"The new e-store is definitely an added benefit to have all of our systems ordering in one online place," said Vince Rosetti, owner of the Bensalem Saladworks. "In the past, we were all ordering from multiple vendors. Now, consistency is visible systemwide."
