Spray On, Wipe Off: New Drug Test Technology from the DTC
The Drug Test Consultant (DTC), headquartered in Sherman Oaks, is offering this new testing method to detect illegal drugs in the workplace and at home. Administered by wiping the surface and then simply spraying over it, illegal drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamines can be detected. This method alleviates the need for urine and other bodily samples and produces results right away, rather than making clients wait the typical one or two days.
"Our clients are the victims of drug abuse in the workplace and at home and we think of them first when we develop new ways of testing," said Jerry Lotterstein, founder and president of The Drug Consultant. "With our "swipe" test, the family member or employee doesn't need to be present for the test, which can help avoid confrontations and arguments."
Clients and franchise owners have accepted the new testing method with open arms and Lotterstein has received positive feedback from those who have conducted the "swipe" tests. "We've been told that the new test and its quick results have given clients peace of mind after they found that no illegal drugs were detected. This is exactly what we like to hear. However, there are times when drugs are detected and in those cases, further testing needs to be conducted." If further testing is needed, the DTC has numerous laboratories that assist clients in the verification of results.
