Chili's Grill & Bar(R) to Donate All Profits From Sept. 24 Sales to Help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital(R) Fight Childhood Cancer

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept 20, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- On Monday, Sept. 24, Chili's Grill & Bar will donate 100 percent of the day's profits to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as part of its month-long Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign through which Chili's hopes to raise more than $5 million for the world-renowned pediatric cancer research center. The September Create-A-Pepper campaign, held at participating Chili's restaurants nationwide, honors National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

"If you go out to eat for lunch or dinner on Sept. 24, by going to Chili's you will help seriously ill children become the ultimate survivors. On that day, Chili's restaurants nationwide will be donating all their profits to support St. Jude," said Jeff Probst, host and producer of the Emmy(TM) Award-winning CBS-TV series "Survivor," who is serving as the campaign spokesperson for the fourth year and appears in a public service announcement that can be viewed at http://www.createapepper.com.

During the month of September, Chili's offers its guests the opportunity to participate in Create-A-Pepper by making a donation to St. Jude, for which guests will receive a Create-A-Pepper coloring sheet. Guests' coloring sheets will be displayed in restaurants during the month. In addition, guests can purchase Create-A-Pepper T-shirts that can be customized with permanent marker as well as Create-A-Pepper Gift Cards and dog tags. Chili's will donate $1 to St. Jude for every $25 purchased in commemorative Create-A-Pepper Gift Cards.

"Thanks to the enthusiasm of our employees and the generosity of our guests throughout the campaign, we anticipate exceeding this year's goal to raise more than $5 million for St. Jude," said Todd Diener, president of Chili's Grill & Bar. "Join us at Chili's on Sept. 24 to make your meal count in the fight against childhood cancer."

Since the inception of its relationship with St. Jude, Chili's has raised more than $10.5 million for the hospital. The funds contribute to Chili's 10-year plan to raise $50 million for the construction of a new state-of-the-art research and clinical care building named the Chili's Care Center. Opening in November 2007, the Chili's Care Center will house St. Jude's Department of Radiological Sciences, the National Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC), inpatient beds and activity areas and new research laboratories.
