Here's The Scoop … Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops to Host National DVD Premiere of 'The Simpsons Movie'

Ice Cream Maker Goes (D'oh!)Nuts with Homer-Themed Flavor

BURLINGTON, Vt.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--After a successful world premiere movie event, The Simpsons, once again return to their other favorite Springfield – Springfield, Vermont – to launch the December 18th DVD release of "The Simpsons Movie." Participating Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops in the U.S. and Canada will hold tasting and screening parties, with a sneak peek at this past summer's biggest blockbuster flick and the chance to taste a one-of-kind ice cream flavor.

In celebration of the event, the company has created Homer Simpson's dream flavor combining his greatest loves: beer and donuts. The extremely limited, one-time and one-day-only flavor: "Duff & D'oh!Nuts" will be unveiled at the DVD screening parties on Monday, December 17th at participating Ben & Jerry's shops and at the Fox Home Entertainment The Simpsons Movie event in New York on December 18th. The flavor is a dum-diddly-licious delight of malted, sweet stout ice cream with a cake donut swirl. For those looking for a buzz, (not the cola, the feeling) they'll need to look elsewhere as this is only beer-flavoring, containing no real beer. We know Marge would approve! The Duff & D'oh!Nuts flavor barely beat out the runner-up idea of a Smither's flavor: a lavender, light ice cream with chocolate Malibu Stacies.

In keeping with the company's Social Mission focus, Ben & Jerry's will scoop out samples of the special flavor to raise funds for local organizations in each community.

Please contact your local Ben & Jerry's in advance to determine participation.
