January 04, 2008 // Franchising.com // - (Carrollton, Texas) -- FASTSIGNS International, Inc., the international franchisor of FASTSIGNS® sign and graphic centers with over 525 centers worldwide, has announced the roster of representatives to the 2008-2009 Franchise Advisory Committee (FAC).
The members of the FAC serve a two-year term, providing strategic advice and guidance on services and programs that benefit the FASTSIGNS® network in North America and the United Kingdom. The FAC discusses issues that will affect the entire franchise system such as what new products and technology will enhance business for the franchise network as well as how these products will impact the future of the sign and graphics industry.
Six new representatives join the FAC this year: Doug Mier, Louisville, KY; Norm Gilbert, Redwood City, CA; Wayne Dziubinski, Minneapolis, MN; Jon Toy, York, PA; Deborah Campbell, Glendale & Goodyear, AZ, and Andy Simpson, who will represent the 22 FASTSIGNS centres in the United Kingdom.
"Serving on the FAC is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the strong relationship that we as franchisees have with the franchisor," said John Toy, who opened his York, PA FASTSIGNS center in 2004, and is one of the younger owners in the franchise system. "I plan on seeking feedback from fellow franchisees on what is important and should be addressed and discussed with FII, as well as offering a perspective from a fairly new center and a younger owner in the system."
Toy and the other new representatives will join the four returning FAC members, Kim Gilpin, Grand Rapids, MI; Scott Snoyer, Antioch, TN; Don Marcum, Lexington, KY; Dave Skromme, San Mateo, CA, as well as Bill Belmont, Lawrenceville, NJ, who represents the National Advertising Council (NAC).
"It's extremely important that we listen to the needs of our owners and what they need to be successful," said Susan Last, CFE, Chief Operating Officer at FASTSIGNS International, Inc. "The FAC is on top of the issues that are important to the FASTSIGNS network as a whole, while integrating new ideas and requests into our centers' everyday activities. Their involvement ensures that FASTSIGNS offers the best products and customer service in the industry."
