Athletic Republic Builds All-Star Management Team

Executives named to head sales, operations, finance and communications

January 22, 2008 // Franchising.com // Fargo, ND. – Athletic Republic CEO Charlie Graves has been busy building his management team, making the following recent appointments: Kevin Barker, Vice President of Sales; Tricia Kobos, Vice President of Operations; Trajan King, Vice President of Finance; and Deb Uglem, Marketing & Communications Manager.

"I'm pleased to announce the addition of Kevin, Tricia, Trajan and Deb to the team at Athletic Republic," said Graves. "Each of them bring tremendous experience in their respective areas and a fresh perspective to the challenge ahead - growing the Athletic Republic network."

Kevin Barker will manage the sales process and develop overall strategy for Athletic Republic's sales division. that strategy includes a focus on key U.S. markets, including: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Memphis, Orange County, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Diego, Seattle, South Florida and Washington D.C. Barker comes to Athletic Republic from Connor Sport Court International (CSCI), where he worked for 12 years, initially as Southeastern Regional Manager and most recently as Vice President of Sales.

Tricia Kobos joined the team in November, assuming responsibility for helping Athletic Republic facility operators improve their business practices and operational capabilities. Tricia has experience in operations, management, sales and marketing with franchise organizations in both the hospitality and real estate industries. Kobos came to Athletic Republic from the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation, where she was a Senior Vice President and managed operational functions of the Coldwell Banker Concierge Service and the Coldwell Banker Web Leader programs.

Trajan King will lead Athletic Republic's financial management team, overseeing financial reporting and analysis for the company. Prior to joining Athletic Republic, King founded and ran a marketing company for financial planners called ReadyCampaigns.com. Previously, King owned and operated several other firms including Private Wealth management, an investment firm, and Dail Robbins, LLC, an import/export firm.

Deb Uglem's responsibilities will include general communications, maintaining the Athletic Republic corporate Web site, managing the production and editorial calendar of Accelerate magazine, organizing trade shows and coordinating Athletic Republic's annual Facility Conference. Before joining the Athletic Republic team, Deb held communications positions at Noridian Administrative Services in Fargo and Target Corporation, located in Minneapolis.
