Excitement Whirlz as JuiceBlendz Announces Expansion Plans in Miami-Dade County

Rapidly Growing Franchise Plans for 30+ Locations Across Florida Over Next Several Years

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JuiceBlendz, a national franchise featuring the perfect all-natural blend of taste and health, is in the midst of a statewide expansion plan to triple its size to more than 30 locations in Florida by 2009. Fueling this growth is today's announcement that Miami-Dade County is open for market development with locations already under pre-lease in downtown Miami's Mary Brickell Village and Kendall's Carter Square.

Currently, JuiceBlendz has 11 locations open in South Florida, with future openings already planned for Orlando and Tampa, among others.

"As the JuiceBlendz brand develops and strengthens, we've started pre-leasing locations like Mary Brickell and Carter Square to ensure our future franchisees will be quickly blending in these areas," said Adam Ogden, founder and CEO of JuiceBlendz. "This innovative real estate approach allows a new JuiceBlendz franchisee to open within six-to-eight weeks and eliminates the headaches typically associated with finding the right location."

JuiceBlendz differs from other smoothie concepts as it uses only natural ingredients – no smoothie mixes or sugary purees. Real fruits are imported from the Caribbean and blended to create a delicious and nutritious smoothie. Additionally, high-end supplements are offered as "extra pointz" for smoothies, and fresh-squeezed juices are also available. Menus are displayed on digital flat panel screens and customers are welcomed by upbeat world music.

JuiceBlendz recently named the Miami Dolphin's All-Pro Defensive End Jason Taylor, the 2007 NFL Man of the Year for his humanitarian efforts off the field, as its president of franchise development.

"JuiceBlendz's strong financial model, integrated support systems and investment opportunities peaked my interest in becoming a part of the JuiceBlendz team," said Taylor. "It's an innovative approach to a growing industry and it's my mission to help the company identify the right franchisees to expand the brand first in Florida and eventually into the Southeastern United States."

In an effort to keep the brand fresh and competitive, JuiceBlendz offers franchisees a variety of designs and venues, including free-standing stores, sites within shopping centers, arena and airport kiosks, and other retail environments.

Furthering JuiceBlendz' unique commitment to its franchisees, the company also offers a range of pre-opening support systems that include: site selection and lease negotiation; leasehold construction; four-to-six weeks of on-site management and daily operational training; complete marketing support for grand openings; ongoing purchasing assistance; research and development; community marketing teams as well as management consultation.

While JuiceBlendz believes it is extremely important to succeed financially, it also considers it critical to give back to the communities where it operates. Since 2005, the JB Foundation has raised more than $50,000 for schools across South Florida, the Jason Taylor Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Cool Gear for the School Year initiative.
