N8 Touch Signs First International Master Franchise

Scottsdale-Based Company Announces Plans to Roll Out 100 Locations in Australia

April 17, 2008 // Franchising.com // SCOTTSDALE – N8 Touch, a new and innovative concept that recognizes the growing popularity of massage therapy and the need for a chiropractic adjustment, is going international.

After successfully signing a multitude of new franchisees throughout the United States, the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company has announced the signing of its first international contract -- a master franchisee agreement with Dr. Andrew Cameron and Dr. Mark Pierce of Golden Square, Australia for the development of 100 N8 Touch franchises throughout the country over the course of the next seven years.

Founded in the second half of 2007, N8 Touch has signed a multitude of franchise agreements throughout the United States, according to Ron Stilwell, president of the Scottsdale-based concept. Markets for the new domestic franchises include Phoenix; Salt Lake City; West Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades and Sacramento, Calif.; Dallas and Humble, Texas.

N8 Touch was founded by Greg Stanley, a nationally-recognized expert and consultant to dental and chiropractic practices throughout the country, who saw the need to develop a new and innovative delivery system "providing chiropractic practitioners and entrepreneurs with a unique business model with multiple points of contact, and a way for licensed chiropractors to grow their existing practices. N8 Touch represents an answer to a growing crisis within the chiropractic industry that is marked by an over-saturated market and insufferable barriers created by the insurance industry. Our new franchisees have responded well to our business model because they are looking for new recurring income resources."

The new agreement in Australia, Stilwell said, "provides us with our first international opportunity. Our goal in Australia will mirror our efforts in the United States to create a mainstream brand image that will appeal to chiropractors looking for a new business model providing the general public with affordable chiropractic adjustments and massage services."

The N8 Touch brand consists of three separate delivery systems, all of which will be offered in the "Land Down Under." Most of the new franchisees will operate N8ture's Therapy Centers housed in a traditional, spa-like setting that also offers chiropractic care. The second concept, known as Relaxst8tion2go, incorporates a mobile massage
studio that can be taken to a variety of venues, including corporate offices and special events such as 10K runs and marathons, fairs, festivals, athletic events and other off-site venues. The third component is a fixed, site-specific Relaxst8tions, designed for high-traffic destinations such as malls, airports and convention centers.

"Our new franchise concept has received broad-based support," Stilwell said, "because of its simplicity and multiple avenues of reaching the end-user. Prospective franchisees are telling us the N8 Touch business model provides them with a multitude of advantages, including national brand recognition and an opportunity to profit from the explosive growth in the massage industry. We also provide our franchisees with the unique advantage of choosing where they would like to provide their chiropractic and therapeutic massage services – in a spa-like office setting, a massage chair at an airport or convention center, or a mobile setting."

The N8 Touch concept offers a variety of massage services, including traditional therapeutic table massages, as well as neck, shoulder and back chair massages that require less time. A special membership program allows consumers flexibility in how they receive their massage treatments, which can range from one 60-minute session a month to four 15-minute sessions at any N8 Touch outlet.

The new Australian franchisees – Dr. Cameron and Dr. Pierce -- said the N8 Touch concept allows "the chiropractor with an effective way to get in front of their patients on a recurring basis as they utilize their monthly massage benefits, similar in many ways to how dentists treat their hygiene patients."

Stilwell said franchise industry experts are astounded by the high level of success the company has achieved. "We are being told that our success in the market is very much above the norm," he said. "We are experiencing a 'viral' component as doctors and other interested parties talk to their fellow practitioners. It verifies our assumptions that N8 Touch is a sound business model that also meets the public's desire to obtain therapeutic massage services at a time and place that is convenient and at a price that is affordable."
