Whitbread Launches New Restaurant Concept
May 15, 2008 // Franchising.com // A new restaurant brand is being launched to address new eating out habits in the UK. Research by leading UK restaurant group Whitbread shows that British restaurant goers want a more personalised dining experience; they want a restaurant that gives them more choice and allows them to create their own space and atmosphere.
The new Table Table brand has been created to address this and is launching across the country this week - 14 May - with 105 new restaurants.
Table Table offers different styles of dining spaces to give more choice to customers, whatever their mood or occasion. In the space of one restaurant customers will find everything from cosy and intimate dining areas for romantic dinners for two to large party areas in separate rooms for groups of friends and family to get together. These different dining areas have been designed to emulate the atmosphere of a home dining room but with all the benefits of going out to eat.
The décor in each dining space has also been designed to reflect the mood and feel of that area and enhance the experience for guests. With so many different spaces and different tables under one roof guests can choose their table and space based on who they're with and the occasion they are celebrating, offering a restaurant that is completely in-tune with the customer's mood.
The restaurants offer flexible service options so that guests choose whether to be served at the table or order at the bar depending on whether they're after a formal or informal experience. Customers can choose from a large selection of food depending on their mood, from pub meals with a gastro twist, to sharing platters to three course suppers.
Commenting on the launch of Table Table, marketing manager Joanne Cox says: "This is an exciting new eating out concept. As the population begins to lead more and more busy and varied lifestyles Table Table restaurants fit in with the hectic lives of our guests and their friends and family members."
