The Award honors the individuals "that best represent the influential South Asian business community in the US," according to the IndUS Business Journal, Editor, Martin Desmarais.

The 2008 Indus Business Journal award winners include 13 individuals and companies from a variety of categories, including Venture Capital, Health care & Medicine, Legal Services, Hospitality, etc. The winners were selected by the IndUS Business Journal editorial staff.
