Lasertech's Continued Commitment to the Environment

September 04, 2008 // Franchising.com // - Lasertech Manufacturers of Printer Cartridges and Suppliers of Office Products have been an environmentally aware company since the day they were established in 1989. They set up a hugely successful Recycling programme which encouraged Businesses and Schools to recycle their empty Printer Cartridges in exchange for credit or a donation to charity.

19 years on, with a network of approaching 100 Franchise Territories, including head office, green issues are still a very important factor in the day to day running of Lasertech UK and it's franchisees.

Members of Lasertech's Franchise Network have also been encouraging their customers to become more environmentally aware through introducing 'Green Days' in relation to deliveries. Franchisees have been working with their customers to schedule set days to deliver to customers in a particular post code area, which in turn would reduce fuel consumption and ultimately Carbon Footprint. This scheme has proven an overwhelming success particularly in rural areas. Franchisees have also started emailing invoices to their customers to save on paper, print and postage.

Carbon footprint – Lasertech brand Cartridges are manufactured and recycled in the UK unlike some leading brands of Printer Cartridges are manufactured in the Far East and recycled in the USA meaning that a cartridge can travel over 7,000 miles. By using the Lasertech Recycling Programme Lasertech customers can have an impact on where these cartridges go and how far they travel.
