10 til 2 Salutes Its Employees, Candidates And Clients During National Staffing Employee Week

September 09, 2008 // Franchising.com // (Denver, CO)---10 til 2, a Denver-based staffing firm specializing in part-time long-term placement, will join staffing companies across the country in celebrating National Staffing Employee Week from September 15th through 21st. National Staffing Employee Week was established by the American Staffing Association (ASA) to pay tribute to the 2.96 million Americans who are employed by staffing firms every day.

Businesses, according to ASA, tap staffing companies for quality talent in virtually all occupational sectors, from call center service representatives to skilled tradesmen to attorneys. ASA also reports that 79 percent of temporary and contract employees work full-time (35 hours or more per week), virtually the same as the rest of the work force.

"National Staffing Employee Week is a salute to the important and talented contract employees who actively contribute to the growth and maintenance of our economy," said Liz Norwood, 10 til 2's chief marketing officer and one of the company's four founders. According to Norwood, 10 til 2 will spend the entire week honoring its staff, its clients and all of its candidates who see the win-win of staffing services.

For those who are seeking reentering the work force, or looking for something new, contract employment offers many benefits:

  • Jobs: The staffing industry matches millions of people to millions of jobs every day.
  • Flexibility: Employees can choose when, where, and how they want to work. Companies can get the skills they need to keep fully staffed during busy times.
  • Choice: Many people choose temporary and contract work as a preferred employment option. They can select their work schedules and choose among a variety of diverse and challenging assignments.

"We're proud to be involved in an industry that provides so many benefits to employees, to businesses, and to America's economy," adds Norwood.

Founded in 2003 by four mothers looking to transition back into the workforce, Denver, Colorado-based 10 til 2 is the nation's first staffing service of its kind in that its sole focus is on part-time placement. Unlike temporary employment staffing agencies, 10 til 2 isn't interested in candidates seeking employment on a daily or weekly basis; instead, they're looking for candidates who not only want a position they can turn into a career but also maintain the flexibility to meet other obligations, like raising a family. 10 til 2 works with clients in a wide variety of industries - from accounting and insurance to communications and legal - meaning there is a position out there for any interest and skill set. Candidates typically work between four and 30 hours each week. 10 til 2 currently has approximately 21 franchises across the country and while the company initially plans to continue its growth in markets where it has an existing location, future growth is projected in Albuquerque; Atlanta; Chicago; Cincinnati; Columbus, OH; Dallas; Denver; Houston; Indianapolis; Phoenix; Portland, OR; Richmond, VA; Seattle; St. Louis; Southern Virginia; and the Washington, D.C. area.
