On November 28 and continuing throughout Thanksgiving day weekend, the nation's leading fitness authority is opening its doors to the public, free-of-charge, in an effort to help Americans burn off calories from their Thanksgiving feasts. Gold's Gym trainers and nutrition experts will be on-hand to offer guests tips and advice to avoid packing on the pounds during the holiday season.

"Studies have shown that the average Thanksgiving feast contains 3,000 calories and 229 grams of fat," said Ramona Braganza, Gold's Gym Fitness Institute expert. "With the typical holiday meal's fat content alone being equivalent to eating three sticks of butter staying active and eating in moderation are the key to staying fit and healthy during this busy time of year"

Consumers are welcome to show up at any participating Gold's Gym on Friday, November 28th through Sunday, November 30th to take advantage of the free "Trim the Fat Friday" workouts. In addition, health and fitness experts will be on-hand to provide consumers with a free fitness consultation.
