CKE Restaurants, Inc. Announces Vote Results from 2009 Annual Meeting of Stockholders

Carpinteria, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CKE Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: CKR) announced today that its stockholders have approved the election of Carl L. Karcher, Jerold H. Rubinstein, and Daniel E. Ponder, Jr. to the Board of Directors for terms expiring in 2012. In addition, stockholders also approved today the amendments to the Company's 2005 Omnibus Incentive Compensation Plan, and ratified the appointment of KPMG LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending January 25, 2010.

The final vote results will be disclosed in the Company's Report on Form 10-Q for the fiscal quarter ending August 10, 2009.

As of the end of its fiscal 2010 first quarter, CKE Restaurants, Inc., through its subsidiaries, had a total of 3,133 franchised, licensed or company-operated restaurants in 42 states and in 14 countries, including 1,205 Carl's Jr. restaurants and 1,915 Hardee's restaurants.
