DineEquity, Inc. Files Shelf Registration Statement

GLENDALE, CA, (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- DineEquity, Inc. (NYSE: DIN), the parent company of Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar and IHOP Restaurants, today announced that it has filed a shelf registration statement on Form S-3 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The registration statement, when declared effective by the SEC, will permit the Company to offer and sell up to $200 million of common stock, preferred stock, debt securities, and other securities. The terms of any offering by the Company under the registration statement will be established at the time of the offering and will be described in a prospectus supplement.

A shelf registration statement relating to the securities has been filed with the SEC, but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold, nor may offers to buy be accepted, prior to the time the SEC declares the registration statement effective and any appropriate prospectus supplement has been filed.
