Great Clips Launches The Ultimate Man-Cave Makeover Contest

December 07, 2009 // Franchising.com // Rob Goggins, vice president of franchise development for Great Clips, Inc., announced The Ultimate Man-Cave Makeover contest to the hair salon business community and posted the news on the Great Clips franchise blog site.

"Every man deserves a cavernous chamber to escape his to-do list and do want he wants," says Goggins. "Our no appointment, value-priced haircuts make a man look good. Now we want to make him feel good.

"The contest promotion starts December 15 in our nearly 2,800 salons throughout North America and on www.greatclips.com where we will direct contest hopefuls to our Great Clips Facebook page."

Great Clips will air television commercials highlighting the contest during all NCAA college football Bowl Championship Series games from Jan. 1-7. The 30-second spot will feature NASCAR's Kasey Kahne, a Great Clips Racing team driver, as the voiceover.

"We'll ask people to post photos of their man-caves with a few descriptive words to our Facebook page," said Goggins. "We'll pick the top 10—or the worst 10 depending on how you look at them—and have our Facebook fans vote from Jan. 21-31 for the ultimate winner."

The winner will be announced Feb. 1 and receive a rock-shelter makeover worth $8,000, including the ultimate man-cave comforts: a big-screen TV, a recliner, lighting, carpeting, and other 21st century amenities.
