Realogy Appoints Phillip Hugh as Executive Vice President for Domestic Franchise Sales

Company Also Names John Bearden to Assist with Key Growth Opportunities

January 05, 2010 // Franchising.com // PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Realogy Corporation, a global provider of real estate and relocation services, today announced Phillip Hugh as executive vice president of franchise sales. In this role, he will lead the domestic franchise sales teams supporting Realogy's world-renowned residential real estate brands - Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate, CENTURY 21®, Coldwell Banker®, Coldwell Banker Commercial®, ERA® and Sotheby's International Realty®. In addition, the company appointed real estate industry veteran John Bearden to assist Realogy with key growth opportunities in major markets.

Hugh will be responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of Realogy's franchise sales activity throughout the United States. He will report directly to Alex Perriello, president and CEO of the Realogy Franchise Group. For the past five years, Hugh served as CEO for Development Opportunity (DOC) Corp., a development, ownership and management company in Fort Myers, Fla., where he had complete business responsibility for its operations, acquisitions, joint ventures and new developments in the lodging and retail industry. Prior to founding DOC Corp., Hugh spent seven years in key franchise sales and development roles with Cendant Corporation, where he rose to senior vice president and was responsible for the development of all new-construction hotels, under eight different brands, throughout the United States and Canada.

Bearden, formerly president and CEO of GMAC Home Services Corporation, the parent company of GMAC Real Estate and GMAC Relocation, will play a key role in driving domestic growth in major markets across all of Realogy's brands. Bearden is a long-time industry leader whose accomplishments in residential real estate span both franchise and brokerage operations. Prior to leading GMAC for eight years, Bearden previously served as president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Canada, and before that, as president of Coldwell Banker Professionals, a franchise affiliate serving the Denver, Colo., and Nashville, Tenn., markets.

In addition, Realogy announced that Tim Henderson will now serve as senior vice president of franchise sales for the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand. In his new post, Henderson will focus specifically on franchise sales and development for Realogy's newest brand network.

"I am very pleased to welcome Phillip Hugh and John Bearden to Realogy, and believe that their leadership and experience will help drive significant results for our respective franchise networks," said Alex Perriello, president and CEO, Realogy Franchise Group. "Tim Henderson's talents and experience in real estate franchising and development will be a great fit at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, where he will help this brand continue to expand and grow."
