Coldwell Banker Commercial Gains Presence in Manhattan; Adds Hunter Phoenix as Newest Member of its International Organization

January 27, 2010 // Franchising.com // PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliates, a leading commercial real estate franchise organization, today announced that Manhattan-based commercial brokerage firm The Hunter Realty Organization, LLC and Phoenix Asset Management have formed an alliance under the Coldwell Banker Commercial banner and will now operate as Coldwell Banker Commercial Hunter Phoenix.

The Hunter Realty Organization, LLC, led by Peter Sabesan and Richard Selig, principals and co-founders, has been a major presence in Manhattan office and retail leasing since 1997, working for a host of well-known tenants, such as Allianz Global and American Express, and preeminent landlords, including SL Green.

Phoenix Asset Management, headed by Barry Pincus, president, and Brad Pincus, vice president, is responsible for more than 7 million square feet of commercial real estate nationwide, including one of New York's signature landmark office properties, The Woolworth Building.

"As the financial center of the world, our Manhattan presence is critically important to our overall ability to serve our clients and to the continued growth of our organization. said Richard W. Davidson, president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliates. "Coldwell Banker Commercial Hunter Phoenix not only gives us a presence in Manhattan, but brings to the table an exportable client base and a full-service business model poised for growth. By combining their brokerage and management capability with our expertise and global network, Coldwell Banker Commercial Hunter Phoenix expects to add to their already impressive team."

The alliance of Hunter and Phoenix expands the firm's service lines and provides them with a worldwide base, critical for the rapidly changing commercial real estate market.

"Commercial real estate increasingly requires a global network, and we have found an opportune way to expand our reach," said Sabesan. "Coldwell Banker Commercial is a worldwide leader in the real estate marketplace and we are proud to be a part of it."

"Our alliance with Coldwell is a fortuitous one because we are able to provide additional services to our clients," added Brad Pincus. "Between our national client base, Hunter's strong relationships in Manhattan and the unparalleled global network Coldwell Banker Commercial provides, we look forward to a very successful new venture."

Today's announcement comes just weeks after Coldwell Banker Commercial® entered into the Atlanta market through the affiliation of the commercial real estate division of MetroBrokers.
