In Just a Few Months, More Than 10,000 Greater Phoenix Residents Sign up to Take Advantage of Dutch Bros. Coffee Text Deals Powered by RocketBux

Phoenix-Area Coffee Drive-Thru Franchisee Reaps Benefits of New Marketing Approach

PHOENIX & BEND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A Phoenix-based business owner is reaping the benefits of a new marketing channel. In just a few months, more than 10,000 greater Phoenix residents opted in to receive special promotions at Dutch Bros. Coffee stores. Local franchise owner, Jim Thompson, wanted to build business in the area, especially during a time when many coffee shops are closing.

Using technology powered by RocketBux, a mobile marketing company, Thompson regularly sends special discounts and alerts such as $2 lattes, 2 for the price of 1, and more. Dutch Bros. patrons simply text the word "Dutch" to the number 20123 to start receiving alerts redeemable at any Phoenix-area Dutch Bros. locations, including:

  • Mesa: 1960 E. McKellips at Gilbert Rd.
  • Phoenix: 4 W. Camelback Road at Central Ave. and 2961 E. Bell Road at 29th St.
  • Scottsdale: 1422 N. Scottsdale Road at McDowell
  • Tempe: 1037 S. Rural Road at Lemon St. and 3213 S. Mill Ave. at Southern

"The RocketBux mobile technology has done more to build my business than any other advertising medium I've ever used," said Jim Thompson, owner of six Phoenix-area Dutch Bros. Coffee franchises. "Drawing 10,000 active customers to our stores on a more regular basis has resulted in significantly increased revenue for us."

"Mobile marketing helps our customers buck the trend of declining business," said Fred Boos, president of RocketBux. "Jim is proof that by providing valuable offers in an easy, non-intrusive format, customers will respond with their wallets."

Text messaging has become a significant marketing vehicle. Mobile advertising market is expected to reach $50 billion by 2014, according to a study by Mind Commerce. And in the past two weeks, more than $21 million dollars has already been raised for victims of the devastating Haiti earthquake via text message donations.

RocketBux provides mobile technology to retailers, resort operators, technology companies, mileage programs, card issuers and more.
