RNR Re-designs Website To Include Social Networking: Reaches 1,200 Members In Less Than 30 Days

February 22, 2010 // Franchising.com // tampa, fl - During the 2010 RNR Custom Wheel and Tire Franchise Meeting held January 18 – 21, in Tampa, FL, RNR, one of the largest custom wheel and tire stores in the world, launched its newly re-designed website. The site provides improved functionality and benefits to visitors and members, which include a simplified main menu with links to the most useful pages at the top of every page and social networking features significant in captivating the user's attention and retaining it.

In the first 30 days, the new RNR website has reached over 1,200 members and they are still growing strong. This site is not only for visitors and members, but also for affiliated businesses, such as Wheel Pros, a national wheel vendor, Riding Clean Magazine, a luxury and lifestyle magazine and DUB Magazine, the Mecca of car culture automotive. These businesses are always featured members, allowing members the chance to speak directly to the source and vice versa.

The new design allows for ease of use. Once connected, visitors and members can immediately locate information regarding purchase options, products and store locations. The main page features up-to-date news and events, the ability to chat in real time with a persistent chat feature across the bottom of each page or utilize the pop out window feature. Members can even check their Facebook page!

The site offers the user easy access to core site functions, such as my page, which members can define their own profile page to include widgets, applications, an inbox and the ability to blog. The site also enables members to upload, share and rate photos and videos. These pages are core to the user experience.

Jason Sexton, Director of Marketing at RNR, stated, "We felt the need to communicate on a more personal level with the customer and this site provides the platform to do so."

While such features are already the fashion for social networking sites, RNR has been the first in the industry and felt it was crucial to RNR's future to move in this arena. Social media and social networking are not going away any time soon, without finding a way to build a relationship through social media, you could be left behind by your competitors.
