Wisconsin Bill Opens Door For Buying Clubs To Enter State

DirectBuy Club eyes Wisconsin expansion after Governor signs new bill.

March 01, 2010 // Franchising.com // MERRILLVILLE, Ind., - DirectBuy Club, the home improvement and home furnishings club with direct insider prices, has its sights set on Wisconsin after the state's Assembly voted 94-2 to pass a bill designed to create new jobs and increase revenue by opening the door for buying clubs to enter the state.

"[This bill] has expanded the opportunities for DirectBuy Club to grow, and that is very exciting for our company as a whole," said Nathan Press, Franchise Relations Manager. "We've been working on this for nearly two years, and it's great to see our efforts pay off in a way that will benefit everyone."

DirectBuy Club has more than 160 locations throughout the United States and Canada where consumers have access to a wide selection of merchandise at direct insider prices, including kitchen cabinets, flat-screen televisions and major appliances from more than 700 manufacturers or their authorized suppliers.

Thanks to the Assembly's vote, future growth in the state is expected to happen quickly. The markets DirectBuy is currently considering for new club locations are: Madison, southern Milwaukee, northern Milwaukee, and Green Bay.

"We are excited to bring DirectBuy's savings, service and selection to Wisconsin," said Debbie Bowen, Vice President of Franchise Development, who attended the bill signing on February 11, 2010, in Madison, WI. "We hope to have new franchisees enrolled in our Business Management School by May."
