Trained by the Corporate World, Stephen Chiama is now an ActionCOACH Business Coach.

Stephen Chiama is the newest business coach to join the ActionCOACH team in Virginia.

May 06, 2010 // Franchising.com // Las Vegas - Stephen Chiama joins Brad Sugar's ActionCOACH franchise- the world's leader in business and executive coaching. When Sugars started the company in 1993, it was still in its nascent stages. By franchising the company in 1997, Sugars helped business coaching become more mainstream turning it into the second fastest growing category behind IT.

Prior to joining ActionCOACH, Chiama was head of a small business unit for Babcock & Wilcox. There he sold maintenance parts and services to utility companies that own and operate power plants. Here he accomplished such things as increasing volume of the business by 300% in 3 years, improve customer service and product coverage by increasing the workforce, and developing parts and services. Chiama believes that his past career will help him both in a corporate setting and small business.

"I have worked for several companies to grow and develop their services. The skills I developed were positive and helped me grow as a person but now I am at the stage of my life where I want to leave the corporate world, where I worked to achieve someone else's goals to become a business owner of my own," says Chiama.

Chiama first heard of ActionCOACH when looking into buying a franchise. He was tired of the corporate world and needed a change. Chiama wanted to take control of his own destiny and not someone else's. He wanted to have more control over how much he made, how many hours he spent at the business, and wanted more time with his family and friends. Chiama evaluated several franchises but was looking for an opportunity to startup and operate his own business. ActionCOACH struck him right away with their great structured set of tools and being able to help others while he helps himself.

"With ActionCOACH my opportunities were endless. I got a career that keeps me on my toes and in a position to keep learning each and every day. The chance to make an excellent living for my family, getting in control of my own lifestyle, and helping local business all seem very attractive to me," Chiama said. "The corporate lifestyle was becoming unattractive. The thought of a 'steady paycheck' was beginning to appear more like I was stuck in a mirage than reality."

Chiama began his journey with 10 day training in Las Vegas, Nevada where the ActionCOACH Global Office is located. Here he will be taught the ends and outs of ActionCOACH, how to run a business, branding, systems and techniques, how to apply their knowledge to any business and much more. Chiama will begin coaching in the Washington DC area.

"I am very excited for all of this. It is a new start for my family and me to really make an impression in the DC area," exclaims Chiama.
