USA Today features ProTect Painters franchise as a "Hot franchise" concept for 2010

May 26, 2010 // Franchising.com // ProTect Painters franchise was recently recognized by USA Today as one of its "Hot franchise concepts for 2010."

"Whether it has an outstanding business model or it's the first franchise of its kind, there are several franchises expected to explode in 2010 and upcoming years," wrote Kelly Horn, and "ProTect Painters is recognized for its one-of-a-kind marketing program."

"There are many features and benefits to our ProTect Painters franchise opportunity including the low investment, it's home based—no retail or office overhead, the ramp up is quick, it's a cash business with no receivables, our call center answers franchise owners' phones and schedules their appointments. That way, franchisees show up to warm, pre-set appointments," said Alex Roberts, vice president, franchise development, SBI. "But, it's our CARS—Customer Acquisition & Referral System—program that's getting the visible ink."

CARS is a unique franchisor-franchisee partnership where the marketing pros at SBI help owners plan and place the local advertising. "Working with vendors and coordinating local direct mail, marriage mail, and on-going internet marketing was a time-consuming burden on our franchise owners and kept them away from managing their painting crews and serving customers," added Roberts. "With our CARS program, ProTect Painters franchise owners can manage their time better networking and sowing grass-roots marketing programs to grow their businesses smarter."

The USA Today article goes on to state that ProTect Painters "plans to add an additional 50 (territories) throughout the country in 2010." That's good news for qualified individuals who want to own and build a business with one of the fastest growing franchise systems.

"As a ProTect Painters franchise owner, you won't scale a ladder or wield a brush, you'll manage a business—your business," said ProTect Painters President, Wayne Scherger. "And we're attracting experienced managers who have the wherewithal and determination to grow their own businesses, and achieve their lifestyle and financial goals.

"I founded ProTect Painters franchising in 1994 and developed strategies and systems for estimating, marketing, and production that could be rolled out in an efficient methodical way. As a result, we're dominating our markets. Residential painting is a multi-billion dollar a year business because people want to maintain and protect the value of their biggest investment—their homes.

"Now is the right time to buy a ProTect Painters franchise for several reasons: our service is a necessity not a luxury—typically homes require painting every five-to-seven years; our service can't be replaced by technology or outsourced overseas; and, for those homeowners who put off painting last year because of a tough economy, they just increased our inventory this year."
