ColorTyme Franchise Summer Meeting wrap-up all fun and games

Meeting concludes with sea-themed Closing Dinner

June 23, 2010 // Franchising.com // BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – To mark the end of the ColorTyme annual Summer Meeting, employees, franchisees and vendors joined for a Closing Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa.

The event featured dinner, a live band, palm reader, caricaturist and a spray tattoo artist. Attendees also played for prizes with games including a sea-animal ring toss, hermit crab races, dance-floor limbo and volleyball.

ColorTyme CEO and President Bob Bloom said the dinner was a fun way to mark the end of another successful meeting.

"Our Summer Meeting couldn't have been any better," said Bloom. "We got a lot of business done over the course of the week and enjoyed our time together as a company. I think our franchise owners benefited from networking with vendors to get good deals, and they gained valuable information that will help their stores."

The Summer Meeting was a four-day event which included a General Session with updates from ColorTyme and Rent-A-Center executives and recreational activities like the annual Willie Talley Golf Tournament and an outing to Lover's Key State Park. Franchisees also participated in "Quick Buys" where they had the opportunity to purchase fast-moving merchandise discounted by vendors exclusively for Summer Meeting attendees.

"Everyone always looks forward to the Quick Buys every year, and this year's session was one of the best," said Rhonda Davis, director of purchasing for ColorTyme. "Franchisees had to be present to take part in Quick Buys, and our vendors really stepped up to offer them really great buys. Thanks to our vendors' support, ColorTyme franchise owners are able to stock up on best-selling items for their stores and offer great deals for customers."

The 2011 ColorTyme Summer Meeting will be held in Lake Tahoe, Calif. at the Resort at Squaw Creek June 15 - 19. Also scheduled is the ColorTyme National Convention January 23 - 26 at which fTo start tfranchise owners will gather for store performance awards, corporate updates and a vendor show.
