Herrell's Franchise Launches Two New Hot Fudge Flavors at the Summer 2010 Fancy Food Show

June 23, 2010 // Franchising.com // Northampton, MA — Herrell's Development Corp. is thrilled to announce the launch of two new hot fudge sauce flavors to join the Herrell's lineup of longstanding favorites: original, peppermint, almond and orange. These two amazing new flavors, chipotle and coconut, will premier at the Summer 2010 Fancy Food Show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City on June 27, 1010.

Chipotle

Herrell's spices up its line of hot fudge sauces with "Chipotle Hot Fudge Sauce" by combining a blend of smoky, spicy Mexican chiles - roasted to perfection with their famous hot fudge sauce for just the right amount of kick to offset the perfectly balanced sweetness.

Coconut

Herrell's entices your taste buds with its new "Coconut Hot Fudge Sauce", marrying their famous original hot fudge with the best, natural coconut essences available to give you that perfect buttery coconut blend.

Back in 1973, in his storied Somerville Ice Cream Shop, Steve Herrell created the recipe for his now famously rich and super chocolaty Hot Fudge Sauce.

"Our customers are always asking for new and exotic flavors, I think people will really enjoy our new coconut flavor, reminiscent of the Caribbean, and chipotle inspired by the cuisine of Mexico. It's like a little vacation for your taste buds." said Steve Herrell, Founder, Herrell's Ice Cream.

Over the years, Herrell's has received many accolades, national press coverage and most importantly adoring fans from coast to coast. Herrell's Hot Fudge Sauces are made in small batches using only the highest quality all natural, gluten-free ingredients and contain no corn syrup or preservatives. Not just for ice cream, use Herrell's Hot Fudge Sauces as a finishing glaze, a condiment, a seasoning or a dip. Herrell's Hot Fudge Sauces can be used over ice cream, brownies and cakes, with fresh fruit and cookies or drizzled over your favorite cheese for an easy dessert or appetizer.

"It's an exciting time at Herrell's with the additions to our hot fudge sauce line, national franchise expansion and our new branding efforts celebrating our company's legendary beginnings in Somerville, MA." said Judy Herrell, President, Herrell's Development Corporation.

Along with the new flavors, Herrell's will unveil new packaging for their hot fudge sauces as part of a corporate re-branding initiative including a new website launching June 27, 2010. The new branding celebrates Steve Herrell as the free-spirited innovator and pioneer of the super premium ice cream category. The package design and the entire rebranding efforts were developed by Herrell's advertising agency - Slightly Mad Communications, www.slightlymadcommunications.com
