More Treats at Camp Happy Heart, Online at Build-A-Bearville

ST. LOUIS (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Build-A-Bear Workshop(R) is celebrating the start of summer by serving up fun with new furry friends in sweet ice cream flavors and cool adventures online. The interactive entertainment retailer of customized stuffed animals is introducing the Ice Cream Bear Collection and third annual Camp Happy Heart, this year with ice cream-themed quests and prizes available at buildabearville.com(R), the company's virtual world. Also, Baskin-Robbins(R) is providing a special offer for Build-A-Bear Workshop Guests who purchase the new Ice Cream Bears now through Sept. 30.

"It is also a real treat to be partnering with Baskin-Robbins to provide a special offer with each purchase of our Ice Cream Bear friends."

The Ice Cream Bear Collection will be available at Build-A-Bear Workshop and buildabear.com(R) starting July 2.Guests can purchase these bears for $20 each or two bears for $35, while supplies last. Each Ice Cream Bear comes with a plush ice cream cone and a coupon for an offer to buy one cone and get one free at Baskin-Robbins ice cream shops nationwide through Sept. 30. This limited edition collection features four new bears in these tasty flavors:

  • Orange Sherbet Bear
  • Mint Chip Bear
  • Bubble Gum Bear
  • Hot Fudge Sundae Bear

When Guests bring the Ice Cream Bears to life online at Build-A-Bearville(R), they will receive an exclusive virtual ice cream bike for their online character. Redeeming all four bears gives Guests their very own Ice Cream Parlor room for their Cub Condo(R) virtual home.

Beginning July 2, Build-A-Bearville will host the third annual Camp Happy Heart, the largest summer camp in the virtual world. Last year, over 400,000 campers participated in the online activities at buildabearville.com. This year, Camp Happy Heart is expecting even more campers to its exciting camp program. Campers can play special online games and quests including:

  • Marshmallow roasting
  • Jump rope
  • Bear-2-Bear Tug-A-Hug

Guests will enjoy exploring Camp Happy Heart which is lead by a counselor bear from the Ice Cream Bear Collection. Once registered to join the camp, individuals will be put on a team and given daily tasks to complete in order to earn team points. Guests can also write their own camp- themed story featuring their favorite Ice Cream Bear. At the end of camp, each participant will receive a team poster for their virtual Cub Condo and the winning team will receive a 2010 Camp Happy Heart trophy, interactive camp fire and camp bed for their Cub Condo house.
