Margaritas Mexican Restaurant Franchise Named Tops in New England
New England diners crown Margaritas as the best Mexican Restaurant in the region
PORTSMOUTH, NH /24-7PressRelease/ -- Diners have spoken, and the verdict is clear: Margaritas Mexican Restaurant is the best place to find south-of-the-border cuisine in New England.
Competing against a host of finalists, Margaritas was crowned the Best Mexican Restaurant in the "Baby, You're the Best" contest sponsored by NECN, the regional cable television network serving all of New England. The online contest was part of a summer-long quest to find the best food and drinks that New England has to offer.
"We want to thank our loyal guests and friends of the company for their overwhelming support and to each and every one of our team members who have helped us create the ultimate guest experience, " said John Pelletier, founder of Margaritas Mexican Restaurants. "We also send congratulations to the other four finalists, Las Olas Taqueria, Cafe Azteca, Loco Coco's and Ole Mexican Grill, for their tough competition and for being included in such a select group of New England restaurants."
Since its founding in 1985, Margaritas has grown to 21 locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut. Offering made-from-scratch Mexican cuisine, each Margaritas restaurant is a gallery of hand-crafted Mexican artwork and a festive party atmosphere. To ensure the restaurant reflects present-day culture with a respect for history, Pelletier travels to working artist and manufacturing towns in Mexico to select hundreds of crafts, handmade tiles, glassware and carved tables and chairs.
Contributing to the restaurant's appeal are the freshly made - hand shaken - Margaritas, which come in 15 different flavors, including strawberry, sour apple, mango, pomegranate, prickly pear, raspberry and, of course, "The Original Margarita."
"From our world-famous margaritas to our authentic decor and delicious Mexican cuisine, Margaritas Mexican Restaurants are as close as New Englanders will get to vacationing south of the border without getting on a plane," Pelletier said.
The deep-rooted bonds that the restaurant has been able to build in its 21 host communities helps boost Margaritas' popularity. As a pioneer in community involvement among restaurants, Margaritas has introduced Mexican culture to thousands of area children by hosting demonstrations from visiting Mexican artists and inviting local schools and other organizations to take field trips to the restaurants. Margaritas will open its 22nd restaurant in Framingham Mass in the near future.
"As we grow and open our beautiful restaurants in new communities, we continue to invite our guests to visit http://www.margs.com, join our e-Club and get free stuff," says Dawn Perry, Chief Marketing Officer for Margaritas Mexican Restaurant Group. "The fantastic NECN broadcast can be viewed there as well."
