DENVER, CO - (Marketwire) - Quiznos, pioneer of the toasted sandwich and one of the nation's premier restaurant chains for subs, salads and soups, today announced that a master franchise agreement has been signed to open the first Quiznos locations in Kuwait as part of the company's recently announced initiative for international development. Current plans call for the development of 15 Quiznos locations in Kuwait.
Quiznos awarded master franchising rights for Kuwait to FOODCO Inc., established specifically to run Quiznos in Kuwait. FOODCO Inc. was created by several food industry veterans with more than a decade of experience bringing U.S.-based companies like Quiznos to Kuwait. Quiznos selected FOODCO Inc., to spearhead its expansion into Kuwait because the company offers a breadth of knowledge about restaurant brands and dining experiences that thrive in Kuwait.

Quiznos and FOODCO Inc. conducted extensive local market research to determine those factors most important to lunchtime consumers in Kuwait. Among the considerations most important to customers were dining atmosphere and ambiance, convenient online ordering and delivery, and menu variety, including light and healthy options.
