Beef 'O' Brady's Eying Up Perry, Fla., for New Expansion

National Chain of Family Sports Pubs Looking for Local Franchise Partners

January 24, 2011 // Franchising.com // TAMPA, FL. – It's game time in Perry, Fla.! Beef 'O' Brady's, the national chain of family sports pubs with more than 200 locations throughout the United States, has announced plans to spread its "wings" in Perry, Fla. Best known for its Buffalo-style chicken wings, Beef's is the place where game time meets family time. Customers are neighbors, friends and teammates. With a fresh perspective on restaurant expansion the Tampa-based chain is the perfect complement to the ongoing development and revitalization efforts in Taylor County.

"Having successfully crafted a community-based model that allows each Beef's fran chisee the opportunity to enjoy personal and professional rewards, we are looking for partners who are firmly rooted in this vibrant and growing community," said James Walker, chief development officer at Beef 'O' Brady's. "While most restaurants look to engage partners with specialized industry experience in order to grow, we are looking for those who will be true ambassadors for the brand due to their ongoing commitment and close connection to city of Perry."

Beef's is just about the best deal in franchising with royalty fees at just 4 percent. Franchisees bring a variety of individual experiences and backgrounds to the table, though restaurant experience is not required. In fact, 60 to 70 percent of Beef's franchise partners ha d little or no restaurant know-how upon choosing to become involved.

Kersten Maxson, a 5-year Beef's franchise who spent her professional career working as an educator with the Broward County School System Fort Lauderdale, Fla., wonders why she didn't do it sooner.

"Having been a lifelong Florida resident, I was looking for just the right opportunity to expand my horizons," said Maxon. "Though this was a new and different challenge, I was completely confident in my decision to franchise after completing Beef's hands-on training program, which guided me through each and every aspect of restaurant operations," she said. "From marketing outreach to food preparation, staff management to business systems coordination, Beef's training program gave me the best possible tools and knowledge to effectively manage and grow my business."

This personalized approach to franchising is one that continues to improve with each lunch or dinner served. An expanded menu of wings, sandwiches and salads are on the menu this year along with the addition of higher-quality items including hand breaded tenders, St. Louis style ribs and fried shrimp. Beef's has also developed a new updated prototype dubbed Beef's 2.0 as part of their development plans. This new and e xciting design includes updated color schemes and design elements , provides a modern twist on the restaurant's traditional design and includes the option to include a full-liquor bar and outdoor seating area in addition to the abundance of Hi-definition TVs that have proven to be a favorite element for sports enthusiasts.
