Chuck E. Cheese's Makes Special Guest Appearance on Lifetime Television's "The Balancing Act"

Segment highlights ways family entertainment leader takes active role in supporting education and charitable organizations within community

DALLAS, Jan 25, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Chuck E. Cheese's (NYSE: CEC), everyone's favorite family entertainment center, made a special guest appearance on Lifetime Television's "The Balancing Act" to discuss how it is giving away more than just toys and tickets. The segment, available for viewing, aired Jan. 25 at 7 a.m. EST and featured a discussion with Ryan Linders, Chuck E. Cheese's director of marketing and sales, about Chuck E. Cheese's Fundraising Events which turn fun into funds that help parents, teachers and students with their fundraising efforts. Since 2004, Chuck E. Cheese's has given back more than $6 million in support of education and charitable organizations through its fundraising programs.

"Chuck E. Cheese's was very excited for the opportunity to work with 'The Balancing Act,'" Linders said. "We look forward to expanding our involvement in our local communities and using quality programs, like 'The Balancing Act,' to provide a voice and expand our support for the community to raise more money toward funding education and children's charitable organizations."

Hosting a fundraising event at Chuck E. Cheese's is easy, profitable and fun. The program doesn't involve soliciting items to friends and family, and best of all, it doesn't require any extra work. Parents, teachers and students visit Chuck E. Cheese's on the night of their fundraising event, and 15 percent of all register sales generated during the event, including food, drinks, tokens and merchandise are donated back to the school or organization. There is no cost involved and no requirement for teachers, administrators or parents to work during the event. As a token of appreciation for their support and attendance at the event, educators are offered a free meal, with valid ID. In addition, Chuck E. Cheese's provides a free packet of promotional materials that includes two full-color posters, letters to parents and teachers about the event, and stickers for each child that can be redeemed for 10 free tokens on the night of the event.

Schools can even have Chuck E. himself make a special appearance at their locations on the day of the event. Any elementary school, non-profit organization, youth-sport team or other organization benefiting children under the age of 12 can contact Chuck E. Cheese's by phone at 1-888-CEC-4FUN or reserve their event online at www.chuckecheese.com/fundraising. Parents, teachers and kids can invite friends and families using online invitations powered by Evite.

In addition to fundraising events, Chuck E. Cheese's offers achievement programs such as Tokens for Grades and Rewards Calendars that encourage kids to earn good grades, complete activities like doing homework, or practice listening skills. As always, guests are welcome to combine their free tokens with any Chuck E. Cheese's coupons or offers. Because all games at Chuck E. Cheese's can be enjoyed with just one token, these additional rewards can provide hours of fun-filled entertainment for the entire family to enjoy in support of their school or organization.
