Facebook fans choose The Hancock Leadership Program as the most deserving nonprofit to receive custom-fit marketing and graphic communications services
April 06, 2011 // Franchising.com // FINDLAY, Ohio – Allegra today announced that it will transform The Hancock Leadership Program's Class of 2011's marketing and graphic communications into a dream come true.
"The Allegra Nonprofit Challenge" awarded the program $1,000 in marketing and graphic communication services, which will be custom-fit by the local Allegra center in Findlay. These services include 220 custom t-shirts, among other promotional materials.
"It's quite an honor to be chosen by our local community as one of the most deserving nonprofit organizations in the nation to receive these free services from Allegra," said Rachael Rahrig, Public Relations Coordinator of the Findlay
Hancock County Chamber of Commerce and 2011 Hancock Leadership class member. "With their help, we will have a better opportunity to support our community and spread our message through marketing and graphic communications."
Board members, employees, and community members nationwide entered their favorite nonprofit organization in the challenge by sharing a photo, video or story on the Allegra Marketing
Mail Facebook fan page, illustrating how the organization is making a difference in their community. Submissions were made January 31 through March 18, 2011 at www.facebook.com/allegrampm.
Allegra Facebook fans were encouraged to share their submission with friends, family and co-workers to vote for their favorite nonprofit organization. The Hancock Leadership Program received the most votes out of the 70-plus entries.
"The entries included a wide range of nonprofit organizations, with a variety of marketing and communication needs," said Bob Milroy, chief marketing officer of Allegra Network, one of the world's leading marketing, print and graphics communications franchisors in the world. "Many organizations were looking for the kind of help that this challenge provided, and each was a wonderful candidate. The competition was close throughout the entire process, but our Facebook fans chose a fantastic organization as the winner."
Aaron Cheney, who nominated The Hancock Leadership Program for "The Allegra Nonprofit Challenge," is a member of program's 2011 Class, a nationally recognized nine-month seminar program sponsored by the Findlay
Hancock County Chamber of Commerce to foster and promote volunteer leadership resources within the community.

The mission of The Hancock Leadership Program is to instill in local residents a passion to serve their community through a dynamic learning experience that encourages self-discovery, fosters relationships and inspires stewardship. The Hancock Leadership Class of 2011 will be working with the Blanchard Valley Center to build a greenhouse for educational use, as well as to grow plants and vegetables for the school and for sale to the community.
