Caribou Coffee Kicks Off Summer with Savings, Giveaways, Fun and New All-Natural Smoothies

Caribou celebrates the return of summer with online promotions, new fruit and yogurt smoothies and more

MINNEAPOLIS, Jun 01, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- To celebrate the return of summer, Caribou Coffee is kicking off 10 weeks of savings, giveaways, fun and new all-natural smoothies. Guests can join in the summer festivities by registering online at CaribouCoffee.com. Beginning this week, guests who sign up online will have a chance to win a $200 Caribou gift card followed by giveaways such as grills, Kindles and more in the weeks to come. Guests also have the option to register for summer savings, giveaways and fun via mobile device, by texting SUMMER to 80565.

Guests can also pick up their Stay Awake for Summer frequency card at any Caribou Coffee location. After purchasing seven Caribou beverages, guests will receive their next drink for free when using the card. "With our kick off to summer program and Stay Awake for Summer frequency cards, we want to remind our guests that there are many ways to have fun and stay refreshed this summer with Caribou Coffee," said Alfredo Martel, senior vice president of marketing and product management.

Caribou Coffee Introduces All-Natural Fruit and Yogurt Smoothies:

Just in time for the warm days of summer, Caribou is introducing new all-natural fruit and yogurt smoothies. The beverages come in four uniquely-refreshing flavors: Mango Orange Key Lime, White Peach Berry, Strawberry Banana and a limited-time only Pineapple Coconut. "Smoothies are great to enjoy any time of the day," said Martel. "We've been sampling our new smoothies in stores and at our summer kick off event, and they've been a huge hit!
