Ripon store first in Cousins system to earn six straight months of perfect secret shopper scores; Store to celebrate No. 1 standing by looking for No. 1 fan to win free subs for a year

Fond du Lac St. in Ripon has done something no other Cousins Subs in the country has ever done - earned six consecutive months of perfect secret shopper scores as part of the company's systemwide guest service program. To celebrate the store's No. 1 status, owners David and Laurie Johnson announced a contest to find Cousins Subs of Ripon's No. 1 fan.

From Aug. 15 to Sept. 15, visitors to the store can enter a sweepstakes and explain why they are Cousins Subs of Ripon's No. 1 fan. The winner, to be selected based on loyalty, creativity and true love of Cousins Subs, will win free Cousins Subs for a year. The winner will be announced on the store's Facebook page (easily found by searching for "Cousins Subs of Ripon" on Facebook). All entrants are encouraged to "like" the page for future updates and specials. There is no purchase necessary to enter; complete contest rules are available at Cousins Subs - Ripon.

John Krahn, manager of training for Cousins Subs Systems Inc., said secret shoppers visit Cousins Subs stores regularly and score each location on store appearance, service and food quality. Cousins Subs of Ripon earned 100 percent scores for the first six months of 2011, he said.

"No franchisee has ever achieved six months of perfect secret shopper scores, and it's particularly impressive that a new owner would attain No. 1 standing," Krahn said. "The people of Ripon are lucky to have Dave and Laurie Johnson, their outstanding team and their dedication to the community at work at Cousins Subs of Ripon."
