Cafe2U: Just the Jolt North America Needs

Global Mobile Espresso Franchise Arrives in the U.S.

October 28, 2011 // // BEND, Ore. – The mobile cuisine industry is one that is rapidly growing in the U.S. While there are numerous “mom and pop” food trucks across the country, a true franchise model is yet to take off and find success. Cafe2U is looking to change that across the country.

Cafe2U recently expanded their franchise model and have brought the world’s largest mobile espresso franchise to America. With more than six years of franchising experience, Cafe2U has already begun introducing its proven track record of success to entrepreneurs stateside. Growing through an Area Representative model, the brand has already opened its first U.S. franchise location in Bend, Ore.

“Cafe2U has proven globally what it takes to succeed in the mobile espresso business,” said Lee Johns, President of Cafe2U Inc. “As the brand continues to take off and grow, it only makes sense to expand to the United States.”

With a wide variety of hot drinks ranging from espresso to chai latte and hot chocolate, Cafe2U brings convenience to those who otherwise may not have access to high-quality, artisan beverages thanks to the mobile nature of the franchise system.

“In large cities it may feel like there’s a coffee shop on every corner, but in smaller communities, finding a good cup of coffee may be difficult,” said Johns. “Our mission is to not only cater to coffee connoisseurs in large cities but also to those in industrial areas and business parks.”

In 2000, Cafe2U pioneered the mobile café industry in Australia when it launched its first prototype mobile coffee business on the northern beaches of Sydney. After seeing the success of the first Cafe2U business, the brand completed its franchise model and in 2005, the brand launched its franchise initiative in Australia as well as the United Kingdom. To date, Cafe2U has grown to 120 franchise locations in Australia and more than 50 across the United Kingdom.

Further complimenting the brand’s steady international growth, Cafe2U also has received numerous accolades since beginning franchising. In 2009, the brand was listed as part of Australia’s Business Review Weekly “Fastest 100” franchise systems as well as receiving the “Best Value Franchise System” award from AFR’s Smart Investor Magazine.

“The reception that Cafe2U has received from consumers all across the globe has been extremely positive. We are excited to continue growing the brand and providing a ‘cup of convenience’ for the first time to people all across the U.S.,” added Johns.
