Alvin and the Chipmunks(TM) and The Chipettes(TM) are Chipwrecked at Build-A-Bear Workshop

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 22, 2011-- Build-A-Bear Workshop®, in a partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Bagdasarian Productions, announced today the debut of Alvin and Brittany plush characters strutting straight off the red carpet and into stores nationwide. Beginning November 25, Guests can make their own Alvin and Brittany ($23 each), stars of the highly anticipated third installment of the blockbuster family film franchise, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked! arriving in theaters December 16. Also available are mini Alvin and the Chipmunks friends Simon, Theodore, Jeanette and Eleanor ($12 each, or $10 each when Guests purchase two or more) in pre-stuffed mini form, all dressed in island apparel.

Make-your-own Alvin comes sporting a Hawaiian tee and make-your-own Brittany comes wearing a fuchsia slip dress. To be ready to hit the red carpet at a moment’s notice, Alvin can be dressed in a slick white tux ($13.50) and Brittany in a Build-A-Bear Workshop exclusive salsa dancing dress ($13.50). These accessories, Alvin, Brittany and friends will be available in stores and online at buildabear.com®.

Guests who purchase Alvin or Brittany will receive a virtual chipmunk for their online character to redeem on Bearville.com™, the Build-A-Bear Workshop online entertainment destination and virtual world. Additionally, all Guests will be able to view an Alvin appearance on The Chloe Show and enjoy two Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked! trailers featured in the Bearville™ theater.

Build-A-Bear Workshop will also offer a Chipwrecked Screening Sweepstakes on the Build-A-Bear Workshop Facebook page from November 25 through December 11. Guests, age 13 and older, can enter to win a private screening of Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked! for themselves and up to 300 guests.
