MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 22, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- Regis Corporation (NYSE: RGS) is proud to announce that their annual, national Clip for the Cure campaign reached its target goal and raised over $1 million for the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. The campaign took place in October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Regis Corporation, the global leader in the $160 billion haircare industry, has been supporting the cause since 1990. To date, Regis stylists, staff and clients have raised over $9 million to fund groundbreaking breast cancer research at Mayo Clinic and other nationally recognized centers.
Over 7,400 Regis Corporation corporate salons across the country kicked off October by hosting a one-day haircutting event, followed by additional fundraising opportunities throughout the month. For example, 10 percent of net proceeds from the sale of private label products, including customer favorites like DESIGNLINE®, Cost Cutters Professional and MasterCuts' M|C line, were donated directly to the Foundation. Limited edition pink products, including breast cancer awareness pins and bracelets, were also available for purchase.
