H&R Block Announces 33% Dividend Increase

KANSAS CITY, MO, Dec 08, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- H&R Block, Inc. (NYSE: HRB) announced today that its Board of Directors has increased the annual cash dividend on the company's common shares by 33 percent to $0.80 cents per share from $0.60 per share.

The increase is effective with the quarterly cash dividend of $0.20 per share, payable on January 5, 2012, to shareholders of record as of December 22, 2011. The January 5 payment marks the company's 197th consecutive quarterly dividend.
