Torian Plum Resort Greets the New Year with a Fresh Face as Renovations to the Steamboat Ski Area Base Reach Completion

ResortQuest® by Wyndham Vacation Rentals offers up to 30 percent off vacation rentals at Torian Plum condominium resort adjacent to the new Promenade at the Steamboat Ski Area Base.

December 27, 2011 // Franchising.com // Steamboat Springs, Colo. - A significant phase in the Steamboat Unbridled redevelopment plan was recently completed at Steamboat Springs Ski Resort. A new Promenade was unveiled last month at the ski base area just outside the Torian Plum condominium resort.

Part of a three-year, $21 million plan for revitalizing Steamboat’s Ski Time Square, the Promenade is designed with every season in mind. In winter, heated pavers melt the snow along a broad path connecting Ski Time Square and Gondola Square. In summer Burgess Creek, which is diverted underground during the ski season, will be “daylighted” returning the water above ground and allowing the creek to flow past new seating areas and lush landscaping. Further updates include the addition of a permanent outdoor stage, as well as improvements to base-area restaurants.

“Here at Torian Plum we’ve enjoyed a front-row seat in watching the Promenade project move from conception through construction to completion,” said Frank Alfone, general manager, ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals, Steamboat Springs. “The finished results could hardly be more rewarding: Improvements befitting a modern, world-class ski resort executed with an obvious respect for the distinctive Western heritage that is uniquely Steamboat Springs.”

Travelers can experience the new Promenade area for less this winter with ResortQuest’s Steamboat Ski Deal at Torian Plum. The deal offers a different discount for each month of the 2011/2012 ski season: 30 percent off in January, 25 percent off in February, and 20 percent off in March or April. The offer is valid on stays of three nights or more at Torian Plum and other select vacation rentals in Steamboat Springs based on availability. Reservations must be booked by Friday, Jan. 6 to take advantage of the special offer.

Torian Plum, a luxury condominium resort professionally managed by ResortQuest Steamboat Springs, is Steamboat's premier ski-in/ski-out lodging located alongside the Christie Peak chairlift and just 100 yards from the gondola. Resort amenities include a heated outdoor pool, two indoor and four outdoor hot tubs, sauna, fitness center, on-call ski shuttle, bell staff and on-site front desk. Available condo amenities include a private ski locker, private balcony, gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, whirlpool tub, and washer/dryer with a starter supply of laundry detergent provided. Torian Plum is located at 1855 Ski Time Square Drive in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

The Base Area Redevelopment Plan, also known as Steamboat Unbridled, is guided by the Urban Redevelopment Authority Advisory Committee (URAAC) reporting to the Steamboat Springs Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). The Advisory Committee is comprised of property and business owners, members of the development community, the ski corporation, ex officio members (City Council, Planning Commission), and community at large members. The URAAC along with City Staff serves to assist the URA by participating in the planning and design process.

To take advantage of ResortQuest’s Steamboat Ski Deal lodging discount, guests should call 866-599-8954 and mention the promo code for the month they wish to book: 30JAN for a January stay, 25FEB for February, or 20MA for a stay in March or April. Availability is limited, and reservations must be booked by Jan. 6, 2012. More details, including terms and conditions, are available online.
