Saladworks Celebrates Record Growth In 2011

As more Americans eat healthy, Saladworks continues to grow.

January 24, 2012 // Franchising.com // CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. – Saladworks, the nation’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, is extremely excited to announce a record-breaking year.

Saladworks is proud to be the first, largest and undisputed leader among made-to-order salad franchiseconcepts. Continuing to sell America’s Best Salads, Saladworks stores had a banner year with a strong surge in same store sales. With fourth quarter results showing a 15% comparable store increase and year over year increase of 7%, Saladworks once again emerges as a leader in the industry.

Continuing the explosive development, Saladworks awarded agreements for 73 new locations to both new and existing franchisees, representing a 78% increase in franchise revenue. The Brand, already in 12 states, is expanding in major markets such as Washington State, Louisiana, South Carolina, Texas, Florida, California, Arizona and Washington D.C.

Growth in 2011 also included the first international development agreement for Saladworks. The 15 store Development Agreement with Amos Lee of Singapore calls for the opening of his first restaurant in 2012 and two more in 2013. “It doesn’t stop here,” said John Scardapane, Chairman/Founder. “We’ve got the tools and the drive to grow in other countries. This is only the first step; we’re ready to take this model and use it everywhere.”

In addition to these dominating sales successes, Saladworks also announced a number of programs designed to reward existing fans for their loyal patronage. Saladworks fans can now obtain a Fresh Fan Card as part of the customer rewards program. Customers will receive points for each dollar spent, allowing them to accumulate points redeemable for their favorite fanatic’ly fresh fare.

In an effort to constantly listen to the feedback of its fans, Saladworks launched SaladworksListens.com, which welcomes all customer submissions by location. Monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Saladworks uses these submissions to further enhance their mission of providing a fanatical customer experience.
