CareersUSA® President Honored with 2012 Tribute to Women Award

February 09, 2012 // Franchising.com // Princeton, NJ —The YWCA Princeton will celebrate the 29th annual prestigious Tribute to Women Awards on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton. Tribute to Women is the premier event of its kind in central New Jersey. It recognizes women of excellence who live or work in the greater Princeton area, and who have made significant contributions in their professions and communities. Honorees demonstrate a high level of leadership and exceptional talent, while supporting the YWCA's mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.

One of this year's honorees is Melissa Tenzer, President of the CareersUSA franchise in Princeton, New Jersey. As President of CareersUSA, Melissa helps the hopeful unemployed of Mercer County achieve their goals by providing resume writing advice and education on employment options. CareersUSA, a certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise, proudly employs thousands of local Mercer County residents each year in positions throughout the state.

Melissa believes in giving back to her community and is actively involved in Mercer County. She has volunteered with and served on the board of Eden Institute, an organization devoted to serving the lifespan needs of people with Autism, since 2007. In addition, Melissa dedicates her time to the Mercer County Community College Foundation Board of Directors. Melissa was honored with the 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she is the immediate past-vice president of the board.

Melissa earned her Associates Degree in Human Resources and continued her education at Rider University School of Continuing Studies in Business Administration. Melissa is a member of the American Staffing Association and Society of Human Resource Management. She resides in Washington Crossing, PA with her husband and daughter.
