Also, in 2011, Great Clips launched a new online check-in [OCI] service that has received national press and hundreds of thousands of downloads. Stores using this new technology report customers who are very happy with the immediate ability to see salon wait times and check in remotely.

According to Rob Goggins, Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Development, Great Clips, Inc., “In the increasingly competitive franchise industry, we continue to stand apart for our commitment to a brand legacy vision. With over 3,000 salons throughout the United States and Canada, Great Clips is the world’s largest salon brand. The Company’s salons employ nearly 30,000 professionally trained stylists who receive ongoing training on advanced skills and the latest style trends.

As one franchisee, Teresa Leuppie of Tampa, FL says, “Great Clips was an Aha! Moment that changed our lives. I was at Great Clips getting my hair done a few years ago. I’d had one of those days where I just couldn’t get comfortable; I was rattled over the economy and wrestling with an exit strategy from corporate America. I tried to focus on what I could control---my future---and then it hit me. It was right in front of me; it was a Great Clips franchise. Now we’re generating income, building equity and looking forward to the freedom and security that comes from owning a proven business.”
